  The scenario of the poll bound North eastern states were the BJP had already made inroads has given heat to North Eastern Politics. BJP was in power in Arunachal Pradesh were it accommodated the defected MLAs and formed the government.In Assam BJP won with a overwhelming majority.In Manipur BJP controversially formed the government in 2017.The continuous success of the saffron in North East alarmed the regional players and raised the eye brows of of the political analysts.So far NDA has been in power in 19 states.As of early 2016 the states were BJP struggle to make a presence were two southern states,West Bengal and the North Eastern states.While Tamilnadu was dominated by Dravidian Parties, in Bengal BJP's equation could not work in front of the aggressively growing influence of Mamata Banarjiee.

    The polling for Nagaland and Mehalaya will be conductedon 27th Feb. Tripura is going for polls today (18th Feb).The Saffron party is very much confident of wining all the 3 states thus raising its North east tally to 6.The atmosphere in these sates were not the same.

Nagaland:
       In Nagaland the ruling party has been facing infighting and much to be noted was that BJP led coalition's CM candidate Neiphiu Rio has been elected unopposed to Nagaland assembly yesterday which was a biggest gain for BJP. Neiphiu Rio was deserted leader of the ruling party(Naga People's Front).Here the contest is between BJP coalition and the ruling party(NPF).The regional parties expected to play a greater role this time unlike the previous elections.

Mehalaya:
      Once a congress stronghold, but now the grand old party faced several defections of its legislators and leaders.Not more than a month before 6 Congress legislators defected to National People's Party(NPP).NPP was the allaince partner of BJP at the centre but decided to go alone in the state polls allying with few of the regional outfits.The BJP is yet to forge an alliance.

Tripura:
    Technically Tripura is most prominent state of the three which were on the way to the polls.The entire nation's eye was on this state. Tripuar has been the left bastion since 1993. Manik Sarkar, the states CM known for his spartan ways.In 2014 CPM swept both Lok Sabha seats despite of Modi wave.But now it has been facing a severe anti-incumbency of 25 year left rule.The congress was opposition until 2013.In 2013 Mamata led Trinamool Congress grew as a major opposition party.But much before the presidential election the TMC legislators ditched the party and joined BJP. It gave a biggest momentum for BJP. As the congress lags somewhere and TMC out of the race it is now a bipolar contest between the Red and the Saffron. CPM is struggling to keep its last bastion which is only a namesake opposition in national politics.If CPM lose, it was the deadliest defeat for CPM ever which has 70 MPs once in the Parliament.

  Apart from these 3 states, the other poll bound states which were going for polls later this year includes Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. These states were semi finals for both BJP and Congress as the performance here reflects in the Finals going to be held in 2019.

Is the End has Begun ? : Saffron Fades 2019 poll analysis

As BJP claimed, it may be state issues leading to the defeat. This can be applicable in Bihar where people may be voted in the mind set of anger against the ruling JD(U). But in the case of UP where BJP got 2/3rd majority a year ago seems tumbled out. The most to be noted was that the bypoll constituencies where represented by CM and Deputy CM of the state.
